More About QIC.

Today, more than ever, companies are relying on third party inspection agencies to provide source inspection services. Many of these may send qualified inspectors, but more often than not the emphasis is on the paperwork rather than the equipment itself. Shops can be hot, and noisy places to work therefore many inspectors will spend a small percentage of the time in the shop and the remainder of the time in the air conditioned comfort of the QC office. Unfortunately, that is not be best way to perform a thorough inspection. We at Quality Inspection Consultants do not mind getting our hands dirty, we understand the first priority is the quality of the equipment and its conformance to the applicable drawings and specifications specified by the purchaser. Once that has been verified then we perform a thorough review of the paperwork.

In today’s business environment the need to closely control capital investments often results in the replacement equipment being purchased at the latest time possible. When the equipment arrives on the jobsite it has to be right since any fabrication errors may result in installation and start-up delays costing many thousands of dollars in lost production time.

At Quality Inspection Consultants, we understand what is at stake, therefore, we painstakingly verify that all materials, dimensions, and quality requirements applicable to your equipment have been fulfilled, noting any deviations and non-conformances. Our team has over 100 years of combined experience in welding, fabrication, inspection, and non-destructive testing giving us the expertise necessary to advise our customers in technical troubleshooting, and the resolution of non-conforming characteristics.

Our inspections include,

  • A courtesy call by our inspector to our customer on the day of the inspection in case there are special instructions or requests which we can fulfill while still at the fabricator’s facility or jobsite.

  • A post inspection briefing which summarizes any issues found during the course of the inspection visit. This is provided at the conclusion of each inspection visit.

  • A detailed report describing what was inspected and details of any issues discovered during the inspection.

  • 30 high resolution photos of the equipment so the customer has a photographic record of the condition of the equipment at the time of the inspection visit.

  • When there are problems, we will not only identify those issues , but also advise on the best means to resolve those problems.
